The project began in Feb 2005 with one READER who traces his surname to the parish of Terrington St. Clement in Norfolk, England. His ancestor came from a long line of READERs (also spelled REDER and REEDER in the parish records) who may have been employed as skilled workmen using the native marsh reeds to thatch roofs.
