Initial findings of this project are that there is genetic variance among present day Pruntys*. With I and R haplogroups being present. R-M269 is more prevelent so far across Printy, Prentice and Prunty surname variants.
Some previously distinct lines of Pruntys* have also found recent common ancestors, breaking brick walls and expanding the known genealogies.
There has also been an effort across multiple Ancestry DNA providers to link trees via autosomal DNA & Maternal DNA. This is proving fruitful in breaking brick walls and expanding the known genealogiesalso and will allow those lines without peternal DNA samples to link to the Prunty* Y-tree here.
