We have identified the Haplogroup of this Schmidt family tree as I1c. We are seeking new members to our project to build a larger family tree.

If you can trace your paternal lineage to anyone in our paternal Schmidt line or any of their male siblings, you are invited to join this project.

If you have Y-DNA Haplogroup, I1c, and think you might be a member of a paternal line originating from within someone in this project or your line goes back further than 1750, you are invited to join.

We recommend the Y-DNA37 test and the mtDNAPlus test for this project.
