Hello everyone. My grandmother was a Pollard. Her name was Sarah Thomas Pollard. She was born Dec 30, 1877 in Petersburg, Dinwiddie, VA and died Jan 27, 1966 in Petersburg, Dinwiddie, VA. She married my grandfather, Lewis Franklin Davis, on Feb 10, 1898. Her parents were James Edward Pollard and Mary Ann Williams. James Edward Pollard was born in 1843 in Amelia County, VA. He married Mary Ann Williams on Mar 5, 1866 in Petersburg City, VA. Their children are John Wiley Pollard, William Edward Pollard, Hattie Ann Rebecca Pollard, and my grandmother being the youngest. I’m not sure when James Edward died, but I’m assuming it was in Petersburg, VA. His parents were Thomas Pollard and Rebecca UNKNOWN. I don’t have much information on Thomas Pollard and Rebecca. Rebecca was born in 1805 in VA. Their children are O.H. Pollard, Sarah F. Pollard, and James Edward Pollard. Anyone have a connection or know any more information?

The Pollard DNA Project has transitioned to the Family Tree DNA servers and the application called myGroups. No previous data has been lost, but there will undoubtedly be some sawdust flying about for the next few days...and we can't rule out a minor challenge or two as everything becomes operable. Please join me in thanking Terry and Marilyn Barton for running WorldFamilies.net for 14 years, and wishing them all the best in their retirement.
