Poe family are welcome to participate. Most so far descend from the Poe who settled Essex County, Virginia in the early 1700s. Others descend from the Bucks County, Pennsylvania family and others from the German Poe lines that settled Maryland and Pennsylvania, and a separate German line from Frederick County, VA who settled in Ohio. Other lines are represented as well. The German lines may have originally spelled the name Pfau.
