There are several Platt families in the U.S. who do not have a proven connection. Some come from England, others from Germany, and many do not know their country of origin. The purpose of this project is to determine which families are related and possibly learn something about our origins. In our group are representatives from Richard Platt of Ware, Hertfordshire, England, who settled in Milford, CT, and from Thomas Platt of Burlington, NJ. We invite anyone with the surname Platt, or its variants such as Platte, Plat, Blot or Blat, to join with us.
