Elizabeth, in your blogs, you mentioned that your Pincombe line comes from Bishops Nypton, Devon. in my Y-Chromosome test, I am related to a Robert Pincombe of Bishops nypton, 1775. We seem to be only one marker off from being a complete match for the 67 marker test. I cannot find his name in your charts. Do you have a genealogy tree posted somewhere that comes down to the present and is he the Robert Pincombe married to Elizabeth Rowcliffe?

Russell that is correct my line is from Bishops Nympton. Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you Galen for responding. The tester you mention is my third cousin once removed. He descends from the eldest son of Robert Pincombe (baptized 1775) and his wife Elizabeth Rowcliffe. I descend from John the second son of this couple.

With your line going back to a Pincombe at Barnstaple with a name change to Coad from Pincombe in the male line this does rather show that your Pincombe at Barnstaple and my line at Bishops Nympton are related.

The latest newsletter talks about the Pincombe family at Roborough. At some point we need to compare notes and see what we can come up with for the Pincombe family in the 1500s. Elizabeth

Although I decline to discuss the yDNA project for the Pincombe-Pinkham study in the newsletters I should perhaps mention that my third cousin once removed results are a perfect match with a fifth cousin who has also tested at FT DNA but has not joined this project. This particular person is a descendant of William Pincombe the second son of John Pincombe and Mary Charlie/Charley my four times great grandparents thus taking the line back to this couple as Robert was their third son and as mentioned my 3x great grandfather. John and Mary Pincombe married in 1767 at Bishops Nympton and he is likely the John Pincombe baptized 13 Feb 1728 at Bishops Nympton son of John Pincombe and Grace Manning. As the study grows I think we will be able to eventually look at the yDNA.

Elizabeth, I have recently learned that my ancestry really is not in the Pinkham line. Instead, I've learned that I am in the Connell line. Can this be changed? Ken Pinkham
