This project is for Perlzweig and anyone who has a surname that was changed from Perlzweig. Some of the names that are related to Perlzweig include; Pearl, Pearlsweig, Pearlzveig, Peel, Pereltzvaig, Pereltzveig, Perelzvaig, Perelzweig, Perey, Perl, Perlcveig, Perle, Perless, Perley, Perls, Perlsweig, Perltzveig, Perlzvaig, Perlzveig, & Pelzweig. These families would all have been Jewish and most of them originated in the Ukraine. This is primarily a Y DNA project. You are welcome to join if you've done an mtdna test and your mitochondrial (direct maternal) line goes back to a maternal Perlzweig ancestor. Family Finder results may also be useful as all of our Y-DNA members have done this test and I have done some "triangulation" with these results. I have found one spot where Ann Perlzweig's son shares DNA in the exact same location as BOTH our PEARLSWIG & PEEL members.
