This is a Y-lineage DNA Project for the descendants of Peder Førde in Sveio, Hordaland, Norway. Peder Førde lived and died 400 years ago on the Førde farm about 35 miles (56 km) south of Bergen. He is mentioned for the last time in 1627. If you know or suspect you are a direct male line descendant, you are welcome to join the project! Y-line descendants of Hans Olsen Straumøy are equally welcome, as we are aiming to discover if he was a great grandson of Peder Førde.
