PIERSON, PEARSON, PEARSEN, PEIRSON, PERSSON, PEHRSON, PEHRSSON, PEARSONS, PERSOON, PERSCHON, PERSOHN, PERSONS,McPHERSON and any other reasonable spelling variations are welcome to join the project. Only males have Y-chromosomes, so only male PIERSON/etc. can participate. If you are female, you can have a male PIERSON/etc. relative submit a sample for your line. To participate meaningfully, testees will need to share their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known PIERSON/etc. When you get your results, please upload your gedcom to your page. You can do this and protect the privacy of the living, but its important to show the ancestry. If your SURNAME is NOT Pierson, Pearson or any of it's variants, you should join a YDNA project for your SURNAME and NOT this one. NON SURNAME MATCHES ARE NOT SIGNIFICANT except in Paternal events like Adoption or illegimatcy and in Family Finder results.
