The Paxton DNA Project is a world-wide Y-DNA project organized for those wishing to work together to find their common heritage through Y-DNA testing and sharing information. Variant spellings are welcome (i.e. Paxson, Packston, etc). We encourage males with the Paxton surname (or variant spellings) to order a Y-DNA test of at least 37 markers, if possible. If you order less markers, you can upgrade later, though the cost is a little more. Participants are expected to submit their direct male line pedigree which will be posted on the site so all participants can compare and find their common ancestors.
