The OATES/OATS DNA Project welcomes all participants. Our hope is to break through barriers every genealogical researcher encounters. OATES/OATS males should take a Y-DNA test. Men with maternal Oates/Oats lines as well as women without a male relative to test, are encouraged to join. Your autosomal DNA results may be the key to breaking a brick wall in your genealogy or someone else’s in the group. Maybe both!
