We believe that the Nydegger name (which may also be spelled Neidegger) originated in a relatively small region in Canton Bern, Switzerland. Nydeggers have subsequently spread into many countries and many relationships have been forgotten. Through genetic analysis the relationship among different lines bearing the Nydegger name can be established.
