This is a regional DNA project that focuses on Phelps families with origins in the New England area, including New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania and southeastern Canada. Both yDNA and autosomal DNA results along with traditional records research are our main tools for this project. Also, triangulation for mtDNA matches is used in certain cases when two or more ancestors have a common female ancestor.
