7/15/05 We now have our first participating Nix family that has a family line that can be traced back to a specific country of origin in Europe. That family group is from Germany. 8/9/05 The Nix DNA Project turned one year old today!! We have grown to 8 participants in our first year, with another 3 participants who have recently ordered kits. Thanks to everyone for their particpation and support. 1/1/06 A New Year is here! We now have over 20 Nix families participating in the project! 4/1/06 We have expanded our international participation in the DNA project significantly over the last few months. We now have American Nix families with immigrant ancestors from Ireland and Germany, a Canadian Nix family with origins in America, and an Australian Nix family with origins in the UK. We hope to build on this progress and continue to expand the number of Nix families with known ties to various European homeland countries in the upcoming year!
