Donna and I have traded roles. I am now the administrator and she the co-administrator. We now have 8 members who have had their DNA tested and three of us match each other. I am one of those three. See Project Results for a discussion.

But we need to find more Mertzes to test their DNA. I would like to find others who match and know something about their ancestry already and I would like to find others who don't match and know something about their ancestry. And it would be nice to find people who match the other people in this project who do not match me -- and we can begin to understand those lineages as well.

If you ever meet or correspond with anyone named Mertz or Martz whose is not your known blood relative, please encourage them to submit their DNA. As Donna said, there is a DISCOUNT since we have established this group.
