This project is an attempt to allow Mertz/Martz descendants to come together and try to determine common ancestors. Reasons for joining might include identifying others who are related, prove or disprove theories regarding ancestors, solve brick walls in your research, determine a location for further research or validating existing research. This project is based on the Y-Chromosome, which is passed from father to son. For this project, samples from males must be submitted. Ladies, please have your dad, brother, Mertz/Martz uncle or a male Mertz/Martz cousin provide a sample.
