Project Features :   27 JAN 2026

Recently, the project's GROUP TIME TREE ceased to function, and currently displays a message saying that it is not enabled.
Actually, this feature is enabled - and FTDNA's IT department is working on it.
We expect this GROUP TIME TREE feature to be back in proper working order very soon.

In the meantime, the TIME TREE and MATCH TIME TREE features (which are available to each kit that includes a Big Y-700 Test) continue to function properly.

  • As a reminder, these are available from a (Big Y -700) kit's DISCOVER HAPLOGROUP REPORTS menu option - located on the kit's HOME screen.

      A. Intermediate (or above) knowledge/experience in genetic genealogy

      B. Intermediate (or above) knowledge/experience in traditional documentary genealogical research

      C. Intermediate (or above) knowledge/experience in website creation and maintenance

The MERCER DNA PROJECT Administration Team highly recommends that each participating male member of a MERCER DNA PROJECT Patrilineal Line do the BIG-Y 700 Y-DNA Test (or upgrade their existing kit to this test).
