Kit 2109's order for Y-HAP-Backbone test was received from the lab placing him in haplogroup R1a1-M198.

Test results of men who trace their genealogy to ancestors in the book “The Story of an Old Farm” (SOF) . 

They are all closely related, and have been predicted by FTDNA to be Haplogroup I2b1.

In 2010:

            Kit 131145 (Line E) tested, matching the modal 37/37, confirming the Deduced Ancestral Haplotype going up to Jonas Moelich 1650-1722.

            Kit 131148 tested, matching the modal 35/37; thus OH John’s first 3 children were not adopted.

            Kit 131146 (WV-John) tested, matching the modal 36/37, thus WV John and descendants were indeed Moelichs, and

                        Undoubtedly from Philip & Maria (King) Moelich, as stated in their Bible Records.

In 2009:

            Kit 131144 tested, matching the modal 37/37, confirming the Deduced Ancestral Haplotype going up to Johan Peter Line C

            Kits 2108 and 134208 extended to 67 markers matching 64/67, establishing the Modal Haplotype for markers 38-67, except for STR-537.

            Kit 131478 tested for STR-537, matching Kit 2108 on that marker, suggesting that OH John may match SOF Line C?

In 2008

            Started the Melick y-DNA Surname Project.

            Kits 131478 and 131716 tested, matching 2108 37/37, establishing the Modal Haplotype for OH John

            Kit 131891 tested, matching that modal 36/37.

            Kit 134208 tested, matching that modal 35/37

            Kits 2108,131478, and 131716 = Modal Haplotype for Johannes (Line A) and Johan Peter (Line C), thus also for Johan Wilhelm Moelich

In 2002

            Kits 2108 and 2109 tested to see if they were related.  They were not (different Haplotypes).
