The MacAulays of County Antrim Project has been set up for any MacAulay, McCaulley, McCauley, Macaulay, etc families who can trace their origin point back to Ireland (mainly in County Antrim in what is now Northern Ireland, but not limited to that specific county). This Project is supported directly by Clan MacAulay. The admins are currently Kathy McCauley and Lucas McCaw, who is also the Heritage Secretary for the Clan MacAulay. This Project will serve as a main communication point for these families, to recruit new paternal line males for Y DNA testing in order to expand our understanding of these families and their origin. Females who belong to these lines are also welcome, especially if they have a known male MacAulay in their family. A comprehensive genealogical genetic tree is being built and will be updated when new Y DNA data is made available. Specific testing strategies will also be discussed here in order to maximize the information for each branch.
