The Lucey-Ireland Surname DNA Project uses Y-DNA test results to find matches between participants with the goal of encouraging the use of genetic genealogy to prove relationships and potentially determining the location of origin in Ireland. Any male Lucey worldwide is invited to join. He needs to do a Y-DNA test at Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) to be eligible to be a member of the project.
