Who should test?
Men who carry the surname of the male settlers of Los Angeles. If you've done your research and think your line connects with Los Pobaldores. Men who carry these surnames and can trace their family to Durango, Jalisco, Sinaloa in Colonial Mexico and Cadiz, Spain should test.

What test should I take?
It's recommended that men purchase a 111 marker YDNA Kit. Purchase the kit through the project to join the project. Join Now

You can also request to join the project if you a member of another project and have already tested.

Can women join the project?
Yes, however right now the project will be focused on male Y-DNA results. Concentration may shift to FTDNA and Family Finder tests in the near future.

Can a woman take the Y-DNA test?
Women can not take a Y-DNA test, however they can have a male who carries a Pobladore surname test for them. This male can be a brother, father, son, uncle, cousin, grandfather. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the administrator.
