This project has been expanded to identify the possible interrelationships of persons bearing surnames such as Lippert, Leeper, Leppard, Leopard, Leber, Laper, Lapierre, LePard, Lepperd, Lepard, De Pierre, Della Piera, Pierra etc. It was initiated to determine the ancestors and related branches of Johannes Lippert of New Holland in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was first mentioned in records there as John Leber in 1756 and Johannes Lipper in 1759.
