This project is for anyone from the Koble, Kobel, Cobel, Coble, Gobel, Goble families. 

One proven Koble line stems from Johann Georg Kobel b 1655 in Nordlingen, Germany, d 1713 Hoffenheim Sinsheim, Germany.  He had 3 sons who immigrated to the US.  Jacob Kobel b 1682 m Anna Maria Egli and d in 1733 in Philadelphia, PA.  His line settled in Berks Co., PA.  George Kobel b 1693 m Maria Geisler and settled in NC.  The third brother Nicholas Kobel also settled in NC.  Other Kobel men who immigrated to PA in the 1700s include Antonius (Anthony), George Adam and Hans George Kobel, all thought to be cousins of the 3 brothers.  DNA testing will tell us whether they were or not.
