About us

This project is open to all Kleinhans/Kleinhaus males who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and DNA testing. Mark created this project out if curiosity to find if known Kleinhans trees (about 8 originating from Germany, 1 of Netherlands and 1 of England) dating back to the beginning of the written record (the early 1600's) that don't link with each other presently, can perhaps be connected to a common ancestor and geographic origin via DNA testing. Time will only tell, as others join and share their test results to make the necessary determinations. Something tells me we're all related; the name is uncommon, the only Kleinhans's we have ever known often being our immediate relatives. If you know what I'm talking about, help us and order the most extensive test you're able to afford: the ultimate is the Big Y, but less costly alternatives are available from which you can upgrade later if you want. if you're not able purchase the most extensive then you should order at least: the Y DNA 37 plus the Family Finder. After determinations are made projecting your results, we may ask you to consider purchasing the R1b-U106 SNP test and a ZP18 panel that includes the ZP121 test.
