The world-wide Kirk, Kirkland, etc DNA Project includes all surnames beginning or ending with Kirk, such as Kirk, Kirkland, Kirklin, Kirkconnell, Kirkwood, Newkirk, Van Kirk etc. (Note: There is a separate KIRKMAN DNA project and a separate KIRKPATRICK DNA project for those surnames.) This project is primarily a Y-DNA surname project for males bearing the Kirk etc surname. Documented female Kirk etc lines are also welcomed. Family Finder autosomal DNA for Kirk etc lines is encouraged to pair with one's Y-DNA &/or mtDNA testing. The main objective of this study is to find common heritage through DNA testing and sharing of information. The study requires submission of donor Kirk etc lineage that is essential to pair with ones DNA results. Also, please ensure the DNA Laboratory process is completed including by those persons uploading their autosomal DNA results from other companies to FTDNA.
