The goals of the Killian/Killion Y-chromosome DNA project:

The primary goal of the Killian Y-chromosome DNA project is to provide a connection of male line descendants of Andreas Killian to the family tree.  This goal can only be met by testing as many of male line descendants of Andreas' grandsons. At this time the Andreas Killian Descendants Historical Association is looking for descendants of “Soldier” John Killion (b. ca. 1758), Andrew Killian “Sen”  (b. ca. 1754), and William Killian (b. ca. 1755).

A secondary goal of the Killian/Killion Y-chromosome DNA project is to establish the relationship of various Killian [anyway you spell it, Kilian, Killian, Killion, Killyon] living in America before the Revolution. Between 1730 and 1749 Seven (7) Kilian men immigrated to Pennsylvania and took an Oath of Allegiance to the Province and State. Thus far, 3 lines have been tested; Andreas Killian, The Orange County, NC Killions, and John Killian b.1767-m.1794-d.1840 PA

A third goal of the Killian/Killion Y-chromosome DNA project is to help any male Killian find his ancestral patriarch.
