About us
This project is designed to help understand the source roots of the family name Keis and any of its derivatives, or sound-alikes.
This may include such possible derivative surnames such as Kasse, Keiser, Kaiser, and some seemingly English surnames, which may have been anglicized during immigration, such as Case.
We are, of course, interested particularly in any people, who are currently identified in their paternal line by the surname 'Keis'. This surname is currently found in many countries of the world, including the US and Greece.
All other surnames, which one feels may be derivatives or anglicized versions thereof, are equally welcome to participate.
In addition to these associations, we do also ask that you identify, if you feel comfortable doing so, what you believe or know to be the original, (as far back as you may have data), religious afiliations of your surname.
These religious affiliations will not be publically published, but will be available to study participants on request, unless otherwise stated in your submission to this project. In other words, you may submit your religious data and specify that you do not wish it to be released to anyone, and we will respect that desire. We will use the information in statistical analysis, but will not publish the details of it.
