31 Dec 2006: Two founding members of the project group have been tested, both with surname Jumper.

31 Dec 2007: Seven members joined the project this year, all but two of which have the surname Jumper.

31 Dec 2010: Two additional members joined the project over the last few years.  We now have participants across all three lines being researched.

31 Dec 2011: Two additional members joined the project this year: one Jumper and the first Shumpert (variant of Schumpert).

7 Jan 2012: Sadly, our founding Project Administrator, Sherman E. Jumper, passed away after bravely fighting a long illness.  We will be forever in his debt.

3 May 2012: A new Project Administrator, James Michael (Mike) Shumpert, has volunteered to run the Project Group and has reorganized the research into six discrete lines.

17 Aug 2012: A new member joined in the Southern Schumperts/Shumperts subgroup.

21 Sep 2012: Another new member joined in the Southern Schumperts/Shumperts subgroup.

11 Dec 2013: A new member joined and was placed in a new group, Descendants of John Wolfe.  One of the previously ungrouped members with the surname Jumper was also added to this group, using new evidence that has come to light establishing a line of Jumpers descending from James Jumper, 1813-1865, Lexington, County, SC, who was born out of wedlock to John Wolfe and an unknown Jumper mother.
