We have two main goals in the Schumpert/Jumper DNA Project:

1. Provide all Schumperts & Jumpers with an opportunity to learn and understand their origins.  By joining in this effort you will soon learn more about your paternal line, haplo type, and possible origins of your clan.  While DNA testing is not a replacement for traditional genealogy research, it might provide clues that can be followed up with traditional means to help break down brick walls.

2. Develop a DNA profile of the numerous branches and interconnections of our extended family.  As seen on the Background page, there are several lines that are suspected to be related.  With enough participation, we can pin down the primary profile for each of the lines’ progenitors.  We can only achieve this goal with your support – please sign up for a Y-DNA test kit today.
