This project is aimed at discovering the andecedents of the Australian Immigrant John Coat, who arrived in South Australia aboard the Princess Royale in 1848. John married Elizabeth Richards and the couple had 12 children, with many descendants in Australia. Y-DNA and autosomal DNA testing has confirmed our ancestry back to the Australian immigrant, but we are yet to confirm his parents.
