Recently, through new deep-clade testing through ftDNA and 23andme, we've discovered that Edward descendants are R1b1b2a1b* or R-P312*. Click here for a map of R-P312 tested indidvuals. If you search for placemark 64 or 124 and click on one of them, you'll see the Jewett / Jowitt family. Placemark 23 (Langley) is a close match that we probably share a common paternal ancestor with in the last 1000 years. Pure speculation at this time, but it looks like this may separate us from the Celtic/Irish group and connect us more to NW European (Norman invasion) origins.
