The goal of the JENNINGS Surname Project is to distinguish between JENNINGS Patrilineal lines using haplogroups and STR and SNP data. Hopefully as we gain more members and those members test deeper we will be able to find common Ancestral locations and even date shared common Ancestors.

Please note that, at the outset, it makes sense to "cast the net widely." As the number of individuals tested increases and various lines become well defined, I will be more than happy to turn over these lines to other researchers specializing in them. At present it is best to keep all Jennings' in one project, Y-Testing Jennings males are few and and far between and the DNA family groups are still very small.

Also please note also, that to participate meaningfully, you will need to allow the Admins at least 'Limited access' to your account, this allows us to review your Y-DNA matches and to use your STR and SNP results to place you properly in our DNA charts. You should also make sure you have added an Earliest paternal Ancestor with his birth date and place of birth if known to your account, this is the only data that non member viewers can see and it may encourage more testing and new members to join
