The Isernia Surname and DNA Project explores genetic connections among individuals with ancestral ties to the 52 comuni of Isernia Province, Molise, Italy. Our goal is to clarify lineage patterns through Y-DNA, mtDNA, and autosomal testing, supported by surname mapping and historical documentation.

Participation is open to anyone with known ancestry from Isernia or surnames historically associated with the region. We welcome testers of all DNA types and encourage collaboration across family lines and geographic boundaries.
