Dear project members, my name is Jari Kinnunen, born in Finland but living in Sweden, I belong to Y-DNA haplogroup N. I write here on behalf of my old friend Ngima Dawa Tamang from Nepal who is Y-DNA haplogroup O. Apparently mine and Dawas common ancestor belonged to haplogroup NO, formed about 40.000 years ago, possibly in the area of Chinese/Mongolian border, but that we don't know that for sure. We both would be interested in any matches regarding haplogroup N and O from Asia. Thanks! :)

Direct maternal line. Emma, "Shirley", Nora and Thea. Three generations born in then Kidderpore, Calcutta, India. Emma, the maternal progenitor, presumably also from Kidderpore.
Seeking my maternal roots. Haplogroup F1c1a2 (the only one on FTDNA?). Her name was Emma, parents names unknown, she was from then Kidderpore, Calcutta (now Khidirpur, Kolkata). She was born c. 1831 and baptised at St. Stephen's Church 12/11/1847. She worked as a Domestic Servant in Garden Reach. She married Francis Cockburn Acheson Hughes, a Vakil and an Inspector employed by the East Indian Railway (Patna District Barh Division). She died 02/12/1906 and is buried in Lower Circular Road Cemetery, Kolkata, India. On her baptism her parents are sadly listed simply as "Heathen". My grandmother spoke Hindustani and Urdu.

I showed I have a connection to Group FM89 with my Y L132.1 back mutation. My autosomal DNA only shows a very small amount in my personal DNA, yet, this small portion matches these groups.
Peace and Blessing be upon the group! Hello Everyone: My name is Dr. Anwar Ibrahim R1b>R-L1>U106>DF96
My maternal grandfather's family. My grandfather, Eliathamby Sivasangaram, was born 27 May 1906 in Madras (Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India and died 13 Apr 1997 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is the boy in the velvet suit in the middle, bottom of the photograph. His mother was Sathasivam Eliathamby who died 28 Nov 1978 in Sri Lanka although she was from India. His father was Sathasivam Eliathamby. I am interested to know more about my grandfather's family. I am FTDNA Kit #N18662. I originally tested with National Genographic version 1 and transferred my results to FTDNA in 2006 with H-M69. In 2013, I tested with 23andme (and transferred my autosomal results to FTDNA). In 2014, I joined Gedmatch and am M220929. On 23andme, my mtDNA is R7 and my YDNA is F.
