The Indische Genealogische Vereniging, IGV, is the Dutch Indies Genealogical Association for people interested in Dutch Indies family history and ancestry. This DNA-project is open for all people with ties to the former Dutch East (and West) Indies, Nederlands-Indië in Dutch, Hindia Belanda in Bahasa Indonesia. In the Netherlands it is estimated that 500,000 to 1,000,000 inhabitants have part of their genetic heritage derived from the former Dutch colonies, and carry traces of Indonesian, Chinese, Indian, African and many other ethnicities. Persons with Dutch Indies ancestry also found their home in the US (especially California), Australia and many other countries around the world. Conversely, many Indonesians have Dutch, German, Swiss or other European heritage, and they are also very welcome to join this project. We are not excluding anyone with interest and/or ancestry in Dutch Indies history. This project group is aimed to share information about this interesting mix of DNA, sections of which may be poorly studied or represented but may provide new connections throughout the world. ____________________ NL ______________________ De Indische Genealogische Vereniging, IGV, is er voor iedereen die geïnteresseerd is in Indische genealogie en familiehistorie. Dit DNA project is mede een initiatief van de IGV en staat open for iedereen met een familieband in Nederlands-Indië. Van zo'n 500.000 tot 1 mijoen Nederlanders is een gedeelte van het DNA afkomstig uit de voormalige koloniën, met een interessante mix van de verschillende bevolkingsgroepen van het huidige Indonesië, China, India, delen van Afrika en Europa. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog zijn veel families geëmigreerd naar onder andere Amerika (vaak Californië) en Australië. Ook hebben veel Indonesiers Europees DNA; uit Nederland, Duitsland, Zwitserland en menig andere Europese natie. Wij heten hen ook van harte welkom in dit project, evenals een ieder die interesse heeft in Indisch DNA, van waar ook ter wereld. Met dit DNA project willen we informatie delen over de interessante mix die Indisch DNA is; waarvan een deel nog slecht is begrepen en vertegenwoordigd, maar waarvan we hopen dat er nieuwe verbindingen ontstaan - dwars door de wereld heen. ____________________ ID _____________________ De Indische Genealogische Vereniging, IGV, adalah Asosiasi Silsilah Hindia Belanda ditujukan bagi mereka yang tertarik dengan sejarah dan keturunan leluhur Hindia Belanda. Proyek DNA ini terbuka untuk semua orang yang memiliki hubungan dengan bekas Hindia Belanda (dan Hindia Barat), Nederlands-Indië dalam bahasa Belanda, Hindia Belanda dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Di Belanda sendiri diperkirakan 500.000 sampai 1.000.000 penduduk memiliki warisan genetik yang berasal dari bekas koloni Belanda, dan membawa jejak etnis Indonesia, Cina, India, Afrika dan banyak etnis lainnya. Orang-orang dengan keturunan Hindia Belanda juga menemukan rumah mereka di AS (terutama California), Australia dan banyak negara lain di seluruh dunia. Sebaliknya, banyak orang Indonesia yang memiliki warisan Belanda, Jerman, Swiss atau Eropa lainnya, juga dipersilahkan untuk bergabung dalam proyek ini. Proyek ini juga tidak terkecuali bagi siapapun yang berminat dengan leluhur dan sejarah Hindia Belanda. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk membagikan informasi mengenai DNA campuran yang menarik ini, dimana sayangnya masih kurang dipelajari dan diwakilkan, namun bisa jadi memberikan koneksi yang sangat menarik ke seluruh dunia.
