About us
These are the goals of the I1>S2097+ Y-DNA Haplogroup Project:
- Identify new subgroups within haplogroup I1>S2097 which will provide better focus to the migration history of our haplogroup I1>S2097 ancestors.
- Provide a forum for communication of ideas, data, and findings regarding these related subgroups.
- Promote advanced Y-DNA testing of kits that are positioned to make a significant contribution in understanding of relationships between these related subgroups.
- Leverage advanced phylogenetic tools that utilize standard Big Y extracts to shed light on relationships of these subgroups.
- Actively collaborate with other related projects, such as the Gurule Surname Project and the NMGS DNA Project to improve our collective understanding of these related subgroups.
