The Hurt Family Project is open to all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and dna testing. All variant spellings are welcome. If your Surname is missing and should be included, we'll be glad to add it. It has been stated that 99% of the Hurts all descend from William Hurt Sr. The Elder who supposedly was the first Hurt to immigrate to the US from England in the late 1600's. The purpose of this site would be to try and find the missing links and connect all of the different Hurt lines into one great big family tree.
