The Hulse-Hulsaert group has three haplogroups represented. I1, I2 and Rib. It includes variants of the name Hulse, Hults, Hulce, Hulsaert, Hultz. In the US 10 immigrant families (Clans) were identified and close to 100 family group some of which have now been associated with Clans. One Goal of this group is to help sort out the inter-relationship of the Clans and family groups. Some clades within this group date to a time prior to the use of surnames. Another goal is to understand the migration patterns of those who immigrated to the US from different countries, but are still related at some point in time.
