In the wake of news of accelerating law enforcement exploitation of the FTDNA consumer database, we have removed our Project results display from public display and removed the display of surnames.

FTDNA responded to news articles relating to FTDNA's facilitation of law enforcement-provided samples and use of the FTDNA matching tools on consumer DNA results (like our Project members) when the Opt-In to Matching option is enabled under Privacy & Sharing in your kit profile.
