Group 01 – Haydock/Haddock (Lancashire, UK / Northern Ireland, UK / USA) I-M170>>I-FTF62593
There are three distinct subsets in this group of matches. All of these men have Doane/Doan/Dowen matches from the Doane DNA Project – Plymouth, MA. The Doane matches appear to trace their lineage back to John Doane, born 28 May 1590 in England, immigrated to Plymouth, Massachusetts before 1631, and died on 21 Feb 1685 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Big Y 700 results suggest the Haydock/Haddock common ancestor with the Doanes was before 1650. All of the Haddocks, but not the Haydocks, in this group descend from first and fifth documented sons of John Haddock (1720-1809) and Liscomb Taylor (1721-1802). John is the son of John Haddock, born in England and died in 1728 in St. Mary's City, MD and his wife Elizabeth Abell, born in 1677 and died in 1750 in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, in about 1716. Additional research is needed to resolve the issues with the Haddocks in Group 01 and 03.
