The purpose of this project is to determine the number of paternal family lines with the surname Harrell and any variation thereof (Harold, Harrel, Harrill, Harwell, etc.) Any direct male descendant with any surname above is encouraged to join.

According to previous Harrell research (see my website for references), it is postulated that many U.S. Harrells descend from 7 brothers/cousins who arrived in Virginia in the mid 1600's. Of course, there are most likely many other Harrell lines. My project's goal is to get an idea of how many as well as to locate potential Harrell cousins in England and around the world.
