From the Isle of Jersey, an anglo-normand island off the coast of Bretagne, France, the HACQUOIL family has taken many form in the anglo-saxon tongue. HARQUAIL in New Brunswick or HAWCO in Newfoundland, all claim to descend from the Jersey HACQUOIL family. 
This project aims to prove that all these lines are indeed related to the same line.
