It is the purpose of this project to try to establish the connections between various branches of these "Gloyd" families, or possibly disprove such connections. Initially, the project was undertaken with the Massachusetts and Maryland families, but other branches/families, unsure of their origins (for example the Missouri and West Virginia Gloyds), are also encouraged to become involved.
