Robert J. is the patriarch of an entire line of Gaskills who are not yet connected to Edward (Gascoyne?) Gaskill. We are anxiously awaiting the results. I am betting that we will have a match! The objective of this project is to determine the origins of families carrying the Gaskill surname. The Gaskill surname has been characterized as an Anglicization of Gascoigne, MacAskill, and MacCaskill. Other variations are Gaskell, and Gaskins. One theory is that the Gaskills were Huegenots.
