L'objectif principal est la découverte d'éventuels liens ancestraux avec d'autres familles françaises portant le même patronyme. La construction de l'arbre phylogénique de la souche de Tourouvre a débuté en 2018 et se poursuit au gré de l'ajout de nouveaux tests BigY. D'autres patronymes similaires sont également admis au projet.
