About us
The goal of the Fowler Surname Project is to distinguish between Fowler ancestral lines worldwide and determine how each member connects to the patriarch of their line using Y-DNA testing along with traditional genealogy research.
New lines of Fowlers that have yet to be identified are also important to the project because they are the foundations of future Fowler haplogroups. As a result of our current work, future generations should be able to identify their Fowler patriarch.
Meaningful participation requires a Fowler male to have a Y-DNA test and share his direct male ancestry including names, dates, places, and spouses' names as far back as is known.
Collaborating with our seasoned group of volunteer project administrators with their specialized skills in traditional genealogical research, genetic genealogy, and Y-chromosome analysis will help you understand your test results and further the knowledge of your unique family history.
