About us

Paper‑trail research has shown that Few families appear early in colonial Pennsylvania and later across the American South, with multiple lines and several “lost” or uncertain generations.

Earlier researchers established this project to investigate the descendants of Richard Few of Wiltshire, England, who settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania by about 1680, and to distinguish the various lines that descend from him.

As the project has grown, it now also seeks to explore additional Few lines in other regions, including those whose documentary records are incomplete, so that all Few descendants can better understand where they fit on the larger family tree.
