The Emptage genealogy project that was started at emptageofthanet.co.uk has the goal of linking all the Emptage and Emtage family members from around the world together to a single common ancestor that most likely originated on the Isle of Thanet in Kent, England, in the 15th or 16th century.  The hope is that Y-DNA analyses will help fill in some of the gaps that the absence of records have generated.
