Robert Eller Robert Eller has a question!

I am new to Family Tree and have recently done the Y-DNA testing on my brother in an effort to find my grandfather's family. Any help would be appreciated. His name is Charles Fred Eller, born about Dec 25, 1892. Parents died when he was very young. He thinks their names were John Eller and Rena or Lena Smith Eller.

Robert, I saw your query recently. My Uncle Ed Eller was able to find your grandfather's family! He found that John Eller was born in IL in 1852 and married Lena Smith in NY about 1882. She was born in 1860. They had about 6 children. That is all he could find. - Lauren Eller Liggett (Eller Family Association)

Lauren - do you know where your Uncle Ed found this information? Census, documents, bibles? I don't know where to begin looking. Thank you SO SO much for this information! I will use it to start searching marriage certs.

Hi everyone, I can get back to my Great Grandfather, William Adam Eller and I know he married Mary Jane Earnhardt. In their marriage index it mentions his parents as Charles and Catherine Eller and they were married in Rowan County North Carolina in 1825 but I can not find any other information on them. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Not sure if members can help me. In some trees appear a Sarah Standard daughter of John J Standard and Martha Patsy Turner. Some histories show Sarah as of Cherokee heritage, which of course is unlikely if this couple's daughter. Does anyone know the source document by which Sarah is known to be their daughter? Or is this just copied info?
